B&H presents the return of Depth of Field in-person at The New Yorker Hotel on February 7TH-8TH 2023. This year’s theme, “Light the Path,” will feature leading professional photography talents such as Scott Kelby, Sam Hurd, Peter Hurley, Anya Anti, Ashok Sinha and more to be announced weekly! Depth of Field will showcase photo stations that are outfitted with pro lighting, grip gear and professional models. In addition, a vibrant expo will be available to attendees as well as the opportunity to get hands on the latest technology from the top imaging companies. This is an opportunity for everyone to test gear, hone skills, and produce professional work. Additionally, in-person attendees can submit their images to the Depth of Field Challenge for a chance at winning fabulous prizes! The Main Stage and the Exposure Stage presentations will be streamed live for anyone unable to attend. Special rates available at the New Yorker, A Wyndham Hotel, through January 17th. For more than 50 years Bruce Gilden has honed his immediately recognizable street photography style: up close, emotionally engaging, and real photographs of real people. From his trademark, flash-lit black and white street scenes to his now equally identifiable series of face portraits in color, Gilden’s work distills the variety, character, and motion of the street. “I’m known for taking pictures very close,” says Gilden of his practice. “And the older I get, the closer I get.” Gilden is a must-see speaker who will be sharing his work and vision from a vast career in photography.
