🌿 Love it or hate it, daylight savings is here on Sunday. Thanks to smartphones, your chance of forgetting to reset your clocks is about nil. But the odds that you or someone you know will complain about the lost hour of sleep? I’ll peg that at closer to 100%. Enjoy the extra afternoon daylight, though. It’s like bonus time to exercise, play outside, or plant a garden.

📌 Before you go, here are three things to:

You are in good company if you’ve never heard of the Kaviso Mini Keen. The brand Kaviso, which spun off of Massdrop, has been flying far under the radar. Well, no more.

Knife expert Anthony Sculimbrene got his hands on the Mini Keen and cut to the chase.

“For most people, this is a knife that does everything they need and looks good doing so. If you aren’t a hardcore knife person, this could be your only blade and you’d be content until the end of your days,” he wrote.

Much like Apple computers, this spare design does everything most users need with little fuss.

Key Points:

  • The Mini Keen rocks S35VN, an excellent all-around steel, but in an age when MagnaCut or M390 are par for the course, S35VN is a bit behind the times.

  • Deployment here is “thoughtlessly easy.”

  • The Mini Keen is an excellent, rightly-sized blade.

Bowlus travel trailers are unmistakable. The band’s shiny, uniquely-shaped Rivet camper trailer carries the Bowlus name into new territory. It’s still full of the luxury that people know the brand for. But it drops the price of entry by more than $100,000!

Sure, it’s smaller. But the Rivet enables off-road excursions, and even has an optional self-propulsion system. And the vastly less expensive Rivet opens the Bowlus ecosystem to a whole new world of potential buyers.

Key Points:

  • 25’ 3″ long, 2,800 pounds, this full-featured travel sleeps four and can be towed by just about any SUV or truck, including EVs.

  • All appliances — A/C, heat, fridge, water pump, stove, microwave, etc. — are electric.

  • An 8kWh lithium battery bank powers systems.

  • The optional AeroMove system works when the trailer is detached from the vehicle and works by remote control for easy parking.

The hunters (and lightweight hikers) out there will appreciate this review of the Sitka Aerolite insulating jacket.

Synthetic insulation just keeps getting better. And the Sitka Aerolite jacket is one of the more premium offerings on the market today. It uses Primaloft Gold with Cross Core aerogel to provide one of the highest warmth-to-weight ratios of any non-down insulation yet.

Beyond the remarkable warmth (even when wet), it’s also a finely-built garment. And it has enough durability to handle the rough environments hunters put gear through.

Key Points:

  • The Sitka Kelvin Aerolite Jacket is a hooded synthetic jacket made to insulate you from the cold and disappear in your backpack.

  • 20D polyester face fabric topped with a DWR finish helps repel water.

  • “The most impressive thing about the Aerolite Jacket is the insulation,” writes our tester.
