26th June virtual 24 hr event | | | | What is the virtual photo24 challenge?
The #photo24challenge is a global virtual photography competition run by Photography News in partnership with MPB.
Running parallel to the live event in London, this virtual competition is a 24-hour online event whereby photographers may submit image entries to hourly challenges for a chance to win prizes.
When is the photo24 challenge?
Saturday 25th June 2022 starting at 12pm (noon GMT) and will finish Sunday 26th June 12pm (noon GMT).
How do I take part in the challenge?
Every hour between 1pm on the 25th & 1pm on the 26th (GMT) MPB and Photography News will post a challenge for that hour on their social channels. Wherever you are in the world, if you have a camera and enjoy photography, you can take part and enter the competition.
How does the competition work?
The virtual 24 hour challenge will be held on Photography News and MPB’s Instagram and Twitter accounts. Choose your preferred channel and follow the instructions below:
Instagram and Twitter:
Every hour during the event Photography News and MPB will post each hourly challenge on their Instagram stories and Twitter (Make sure to follow them to keep an eye out for those).
Once the challenge theme is up, you may begin to shoot and submit your entry.
The challenge themes might be anything—from taking a photo of food to an unusual building.
Once you have your entry, upload it to your Instagram or Twitter feed and make sure to tag MPB and Photography News in the post using #photo24challenge hashtag and the theme so your entry can be found!
You have the full 24 hours to enter any of the challenges (for example you may upload your entry for the 3pm challenge at 6pm as long as it’s within the 24 hour period).
And that’s it! You may enter as many times as you like, with as many images as you like, just make sure to include the #photo24challenge hashtag and account tag so that your entries count.
How are the winners chosen and what are the prizes?
After the event Photography News will judge the entries and choose three (3) winners who will each win a £500 MPB voucher.
