70:15:40 Project UK | Support for women, trans & non-binary people Today, while women comprise 70% of photography graduates, only 15% of professional photographers are women—who often earn an average of 40% less than men. The 70:15:40 Project is offering support to women, trans and non-binary people in photography & video in the UK. This year, the 70:15:40 Project will provide free access to camera equipment, studio space, training and funds for four people—two professionals, and two enthusiast or emerging photographers or videographers in the UK. You’ll get to create a full photo series or short film, on the theme of ‘change’, which will feature in an exhibition at the Centre for British Photography in London. Led by MPB, the 70:15:40 Project is supported by leading global and UK organisations that believe change is urgently required within our industry. In 2023, brands include MPB, Peerspace, The Royal Photographic Society, The Centre for British Photography, UK Black Female Photographers and SheClicks. To apply, tell us what you’d create for your photo series or short film and show us a selection of your past imagery. The Project is open to all women, trans and non-binary people residing in the United Kingdom. |
