PayPal Global Issues It is always our intent to provide the best possible experience when shopping with Smoke Inn. However, it has been brought to our attention that some global issues affecting the PayPal payment platform may be negatively affecting the Smoke Inn experience. There has been an ongoing issue with PayPal for the last few months and they have yet to resolve these issues. We are being told by PayPal that this is a global issue affecting many of their PayPal merchant accounts, including ours. Many of our patrons are experiencing issues when attempting to complete their transaction using PayPal, or are having to try multiple times to finally complete their transaction. These failed attempts stay in limo and we then manually go in to the back end and push the stuck orders to a failed state. Unfortunately, many of our Smoke Inn family do not realize their transaction was not completed successfully and that they have not actually completed their intended order until it is brought to their attention. While we have been emailing PayPal multiple times per week over these last few months, we see no progress in this issue being resolved. Unfortunately their customer service department has failed us in these matters. We are currently encouraging our users avoid using PayPal to checkout on Smoke Inn for the time being. We prefer our patrons to have a complete understanding of their shopping experience and order status, and we hate seeing folks miss out on limited edition special releases because of a hang-up in their order completion through PayPal that they were not even aware of. In the meantime, we will continue to press the issue with PayPal and will update everyone one we know the matter has been resolved properly. Thank you for your patience and your ongoing support. |
