In years past Walker’s Cay was home to blue marlin fishing tournaments. However, after a violent storm in 2004, the island was left in shambles. A majority of the structure on the island was gone, the marina and dockage torn to pieces. The island remained mostly quiet until 2018 when Carl Allen decided to bring it back to life. The rebirth of Walker’s Cay recently led to the first blue marlin tournament on the island in nearly 20 years- The Walker’s Cay Invitational Blue Marlin Tournament. The marina is currently still under construction, but on July 4th Walker's Cay announced that the marina is open!
