| Hey there, First things first, a bucketful of our bestselling Whey+ flavors are back in stock: As you may have noticed, Whey+ has been flying off the shelves recently, so you might want to get your grabbers on at least one of these before something sells out again (inventory forecasting is about as reliable as astrology at the moment). Second, all of the flavors listed above as well as Dutch Chocolate, Cocoa Cereal, French Vanilla, and Strawberry Banana are now available in bags instead of tubs. Why the change? I want to make Legion more eco-friendly, and switching from tubs to bags is one of the best first steps for two reasons: 1. Bags use about 1/5th as much plastic as tubs, can be more easily manufactured from recycled plastics, and can be crushed down to a much smaller size. 2. Bags are cheaper and more environmentally friendly to ship, because they take up much less space and weigh less (you can transport a lot more bags than tubs per shipment). Bags have a couple of practical advantages over tubs, too: 1. Bags are often better at keeping products fresh because they contain less air and moisture than tubs when closed. 2. Bags are often more durable than tubs in transit. While tubs are very resistant to puncture, they can be deformed by changes in altitude or crushed under other packages, which can break the seal (or just make it difficult to stack them properly in your pantry). When bags are deformed, they rarely burst and simply return to their original shape. For all of these reasons, we’ll be moving all of our Whey+ flavors to bags instead of tubs, followed by our other powdered products over the next year or so.
