Thousands of miles, countless sunrises and sunsets, and copious notes are the foundation on which Cycle World Ten Best is built, year-in and year-out. CW’s staff spends the year riding, measuring, weighing, timing, and comparing to find real information for every test and comparison, information that is then compiled and ranked until we have a best motorcycle in ten categories. Decisions and rankings are never taken lightly; many meetings and discussions are had to determine the finalized list. After several months of work, we proudly present Cycle World Ten Best 2023.
Distilling our testing year down to a list of just ten motorcycles always comes with criticism, but rest assured there are few others in this world that ride as many different motorcycles as we do. All of this testing is always guided by Cycle World founder Joe Parkhurst’s principles of editorial integrity and quality.
There may be a few models that will surprise you—like Best Middleweight winner, the Suzuki GSX-8S, but there will also be some returning winners. We’re looking at you, Honda Gold Wing.
