A weirdly intense speech from Chris Livingston, Features Producer

It seems like just yesterday I heard there was going to be a Tetris movie, because it literally was just yesterday, when the trailer was released. For a moment I was confused: How did they turn Tetris into a movie? Will all of the blocks, or tetrominoes (I also learned they were called that yesterday) be animated characters with different personalities?

Meet T, the versatile hero who will use his patented T-spin to save the day. Slim, the I shaped block, always useful in a tight spot. L and J, brothers who are so similar but somehow always disagree. The Z-block who just doesn't fit in. And the square one. He's, um, a square. This summer, the stack... is... BACK.

Anyway, no, it's nothing like that. It's somehow even weirder: the Tetris movie is a thriller with car chases, fight scenes, and Taron Egerton repeatedly describing a game about falling blocks with the intensity of someone who has seen the face of God. It looks completely ridiculous and I will definitely watch it.

(BioWare)
The Dragon Age fandom is notoriously full of armchair psychologists. But listening to Dragon Age: Origins get dissected by an actual practicing therapist makes even conversations with the most capricious party members sound like they finally have the subtitles for human interaction turned on.

Review of the Week
Like a Dragon: Ishin! review: Yakuza, but as a period drama.
(Sega)
The Yakuza series has always had a flair for the dramatic. With the release of Like A Dragon: Ishin!, the series recasts Kiryu and crew in a 1860s samurai story, delivering a fresh theme, but perhaps overly-familiar fun.

Players are replacing their Hogwarts wands with with Luigi Wiimotes and asparagus
(Warner Bros. Games)
I know what you're thinking because it's so completely obvious: did a modder replace Hogwarts Legacy's magic wand with a spear of asparagus? Of course they did. "You're a farmer, Harry."
