Letter from the team. The quick approach of spring is bringing a pep to the city, I’ve noticed. People are hustling in the city streets, zigging and zagging en route to whatever has them in such a rush. More people are crammed on the morning 6 train. The other day, my hand gripped the middle rail above another woman’s, and I commented on her blossom pink manicure. She told me that spring was in 34 days, and it was time for some fun. It was funny to know people were counting down, but her optimism was electric.

I moved to New York City from North Carolina a mere 6 months ago, after graduating college. Working as a stylist at M.M.LaFleur’s Bryant Park store is my first “big girl” job. As a stylist, I get to curate outfits for successful women and make them feel confident in conquering the beast of dressing for work and life.

Some of my favorite advice to give: Be your own muse and embrace every part of your identity—even when the world is telling you not to.
