Twitch Stenberg’s Custom Indian Sport Chief

Indian Motorcycle’s latest air-cooled big twin, the Sport Chief is a more aggressive club-style take on the already popular Indian Chief. With an emphasis on more performance, the Sport Chief gets Fox piggyback shocks, a KYB inverted fork, and Brembo brakes. And during editor-at-large Blake Conner’s first ride he came away impressed with its additional cornering clearance and braking performance.

Now a few months on, freestyle motocross legend turned custom Indian builder Carey Hart put his mark on a custom Sport Chief for fellow FMXer Twitch Jeremy Stenberg.

Hart knew Twitch wouldn’t be down for a showpiece that didn’t perform, so he went all out on making something that Stenberg would actually ride rather than put on display. The result is a further increase in handling, braking, and overall comfort. It’s a looker as well with glossy paint and silver leaf.

Right after Hart unveiled the custom to Twitch—just two hours after—I got my hands on the key fob and thumbed the bruiser to life to see if Hart delivered on his goal. Check out my review here to find out. I was relieved at the end of the day that I wasn't the first to scratch it…

And since we’re on the subject of Indian motorcycles, let's look at some other recent Indian reviews on Cycle World.
