Letter from the Team: Over the past two-plus years, we’ve collectively operated in survival mode. Personally, I’ve only recently been able to appreciate that this period in time taught me valuable lessons in accepting the unknown, living in the moment, and finding joy in small comforts (my nighttime skincare routine has become a highlight of my day). Despite feeling like I’ve only just begun to settle into the proverbial “new normal,” I’m itching to venture outside the post-2020 comfort zone that I’ve worked so hard to establish. As of late, this actually seems to be a common sentiment for many women. From adventuring abroad to changing careers, I see women shaking things up left and right. One of the most enviable examples comes from my colleague Alexa, M.M.’s Director of CRM, who traveled to Paris with her mom last month. Not only was it her first big trip since the start of the pandemic, it also was a symbolic step in her own style journey. I challenge you not to laugh out loud as you read Alexa’s humorous yet heartfelt description of how she went from fearing fashion to embracing “French girl style.”
