Yamaha’s big-bore nakeds have always lagged a bit behind its superbikes in terms of tech, but that changed this year. The arrival of the 2022 MT-10 was delayed for the US, but now that it’s here we sent Cycle World Editor-at-Large Blake Conner to North Carolina for a first ride. Blake spent the day on twisty roads around the Blue Ridge Parkway evaluating the MT-10’s new six-axis IMU-based lean-sensitive traction control and ABS, along with a host of other electronic rider aids that have jumped from the Yamaha’s YZF-R1 superbike to the new hyper-naked. In the end, he pronounced the biggest MT a “massively fun sportbike for real-world riding.” Check out his full review here.

Homologation special sportbikes have never been about real-world riding. Instead, they’re produced to accomplish one thing: winning races. Back in the ’90s and early aughts, Honda had multiple models aimed at World Superbike domination. Our UK contributor Chris Northover got his hands on two such machines, one a V-4 and one a V-twin, for a ride around the Welsh countryside. Both are Honda racing icons. Find out what it was like to ride an RC45 and an RC51 two decades after their usefulness in competition ended.

As always, there’s more than we can fit into this email. Check out cycleworld.com for additional tests, reviews, and news.
