Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hang out with Cycle World Technical Editor Kevin Cameron and Editor-in-Chief Mark Hoyer? Just to sit there, absorbing the history and technical knowledge from two of the biggest brains in motorcycle media, and probably motorcycling in general, is like going to the coolest school ever. For me, personally, it’s not an uncommon occurrence, but it never gets old!
A short aside—I nearly had a panic attack the first time I edited the words of the great Kevin Cameron, and even to this day I relish the fact I get to read every bit of Kevin’s work before anyone else in the world. Perks of the job are many, but some are cooler than others.
Well, now you can sit back and chill with Kevin and Mark through the newly launched Cycle World Podcast. Right now, it’s live on YouTube, but it will be available on podcast platforms very soon.
So what motorcycle would be worthy of kicking off the Cycle World Podcast? It’s none other than Suzuki’s GSX1300R Hayabusa. Mark recounts riding Suzuki’s cruise missile 190 mph on Spanish highways at the 1999 press launch, and Kevin lays out the reasons why Suzuki’s 1,300cc Hayabusa engine is one of the favorites for engine tuners.
It’s a great listen/watch, and here are some of our favorite Hayabusa articles to complement the episode.
As always, there’s more than we can fit into this email. Check out cycleworld.com for additional tests, reviews, and news.
Ride on,
