Happy holidays! I’m writing this from my mom’s kitchen in Minneapolis, where I’m trying to focus amidst the clang of cookie sheets and the hum of Bing Crosby in the background. Despite the fact that I traveled over 1,000 miles to get here, it feels like the snuggly staycation I was craving. Just around the corner from my apartment back in Brooklyn, our founder and CEO, Sarah LaFleur, is enjoying a real staycation with her husband, three babies, and 85-lb dog. Even though they’re hunkering down for the holidays, Sarah has her outfits all planned out so that she can savor every moment of her time off. In case you need some last-minute outfit inspiration, we’re resurfacing her capsule of low-key, luxurious pieces you can mix and match all season long.

In my own pursuit of a polished, plush aesthetic, I’ve been living in my Cece and Lea sweaters this past week. Both of these styles are relaxed yet refined and would make the perfect replacements

for that ugly sweater your grandma just gave you. But actually—did you just receive a gift you know you’re never going to use? I put together some ideas for what to buy if you didn’t get what you wanted for the holidays.

Of course, the best gift of all is time with loved ones, but it can be complicated, too. Sometimes, the antidote to bickering or boredom is as simple as creating a shared experience. The sheer amount of content out there is nothing short of overwhelming, so Maddie asked the M.M. team to share a few of our favorite TV shows, movies, books, songs, and podcasts from the past year. Personally, I’ll be whipping up an epic steak salad and rewatching Bad Sisters with my mom—because it’s that good. Whatever you get up to this holiday break, we hope it’s a good one!
