Arc Vector First Ride Review

Back in 2018 when Arc unveiled its plans for carbon fiber, hub-steered, dual-swing electric motorcycle, reactions across the motorcycle world were mixed. Some said it was too ambitious, too wild, or even not feasible. Others claimed it was pure vaporware. But those in the know felt that Arc CEO and founder Mark Truman, former head of Jaguar's White Space division, could make it happen. A pandemic and some financial hurdles later, here we are in 2022 with a first ride of the Arc Vector: An electric motorcycle boasting a 271-mile range, 40-minute charging time, not one but two swingarms with Öhlins shocks, and a carbon fiber battery case/frame.

Cycle World contributor Adam Child got a rare opportunity to take the Vector for a blast in all of its carbon fiber glory. Arc’s Human Machine Interface, a connected jacket and head-up display helmet, was not sampled on this ride, but Child was impressed with the performance of this high-end electric. Check out his first ride of this wild machine here.
