In late 2021, I traveled to the Azores to test Husqvarna's Norden 901, and after two days of touring wet pavement and damp dirt roads, I was highly impressed with Husky’s middleweight adventure motorcycle. Comfort was excellent, power was ample, and the electronics were top-spec. But, I wonder how long until the 901 got the longer-travel suspension from KTM’s 890 Adventure R.
It wasn’t too long as Husqvarna announced the Norden 901 Expedition just a few weeks ago. In fact, we teased it even earlier than that with some scooped info. Last week, Cycle World’s editor-at-large Blake Conner got to ride the Expedition on the Western Cape of South Africa.
With longer-travel 48mm WP Xlpor suspension, luggage, a skidplate, and a taller windscreen, the Norden 901 Expedition is surely equipped to live up to its name. Two days blasting around the winding tarmac and sand roads around Cape Town proved that it does live up to the promise. Check out Blake’s full review here.
Just as impressive as the performance of the Norden 901 Expedition is the growing list of models powered by KTM’s LC8c parallel twin. Have a look at some of the other machines utilizing this versatile engine below Blake’s review of the Expedition.
As always, there’s more than we can fit into this email. Check out cycleworld.com for additional tests, reviews, and news.
