Letter from the Team: What has surprised you most about 2023 so far? The M.M. team kicked off this morning’s full-company meeting with this question, and we went around the (virtual) room sharing our answers. Icebreaker questions typically get associated with cringey corporate cliches, like doing a trust fall with your manager, but I have to say: A few members of the M.M. team have a real knack for coming up with good icebreaker questions, and I loved hearing the answers my coworkers shared.

A few of them were surprised by how well they’re doing with their new year’s resolutions (brava!). Miyako, our Chief Creative Officer, shared that she’s surprised by how much she’s still learning about herself—her likes, her dislikes, and her interests. Another one of my teammates shared that she’s surprised by the fact that it’s still only 2023. Relatable.

In their own ways, our new stories this week follow that theme. The insights you’ll find in them are a little unexpected, and some might even be surprising. For instance, would you be surprised to hear that we believe everyone can pull off a “menswear” blazer? (Emma’s new story will have you busting out your button-downs and trousers, guaranteed.)
