Sunday, October 8, 2023. Letter from the Team: I love to travel. Give me a new city, some restaurant recommendations, and an afternoon to wander, and I’m on cloud nine. But work travel is its own, often-exhausting beast. And for me, 99% of that beast is packing for the trip. How many outfits will I need? Will I look appropriate, despite the fact that I’ve crammed my clothing into an overhead-friendly suitcase? What if I spill my morning coffee on the one blazer I’m bringing?

Over the past couple weeks, I traveled to our Washington, D.C. and Chicago stores for our Roadshow.

I met so many amazing women from the M.M. community. I learned how to play poker. I attended customer breakfasts. I even got to meet the newly appointed senator of California. Packing for all these events was no joke, so I decided to try a little experiment: I created capsule-style packing lists of comfortable, functional, mix-and-matchable pieces that let me hit the road in style.

The result? It took me under an hour to pack for each trip—easily my most efficient packing experience of all time. Today, I’m sharing everything I packed and wore for my tour with the M.M. Roadshow. Now that I’m back in New York, I’ve been leaning into autumn—a season that makes me feel like the main character in a novel. Hot cider; vibrant leaves; cozy sweaters; reuniting with friends who make me laugh until I snort—it’s no wonder this time of year inspired Anne of Green Gables, that quintessential heroine of my youth, to muse, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn't it?”
